Curriculum and Program Methods
If the Rotation in Academic Medicine (RAM) is scheduled during FDC's Faculty Development Fellowship, the RAM participant will attend selected Fellowship seminars, as well as individual tutorials. The curriculum for each Rotation is individually tailored based on the participant's expressed interests and needs. Examples of content typically covered in past Rotations include:
*Observation, discussion and tutorial work with FDC staff, Fellows and physician faculty.
*Instruction in selected faculty skills (clinical teaching, research, curriculum planning, and other topics as arranged).
*Personal career counseling and assessment.
*Consulation regarding reserch design, research roles in Family Medicine, critical evaluation of the literature, statistical analysis, writing and publication.
