Cynthia Passmore, M.A., Director

Cynthia Passmore is the Director at the Family Medicine Faculty Development Center (FDC) and is a faculty member at the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation (MCMERF). Cindy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Behavioral Statistics, both from Baylor University. In addition, she has finished all of her course work at Baylor in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Behavioral Statistics. Cindy has experience teaching statistics with a psychometric emphasis, teaching the evaluation process and also as a statistical consultant. Her role at FDC involves coordinating the Fellowship research curriculum, including teaching a majority of those seminars and overseeing the fellows' research projects. She assists in planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the curricula of FDC educational programs. Additionally, she coordinates in-house research and provides consultation and support for Family Practice faculty and residents on an as-needed basis. She is also involved in training Texas preceptors in the areas of feedback, evaluation and teaching skills. Cindy has presented at meetings and workshops, both in Texas and nationally. She is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) and has presented at national STFM meetings. PREVIOUS PAGE
